Mr Femi Fani-Kayode

Femi - Fani- Kayode

Mr Femi Fani-Kayode it is such a pity that, that novel you wrote to Mr president you call it a letter, you said it is not base on politics.why don't you support the president with your pen and paper rather capitalizing on what he said during the campaign.why don't you write to the public and plead to the people who is supporting the boko haram. some set off people have been accused of stealing some money which is meant for arms  for our soldier to protect us, in which they pleaded guilty.
sir you never say anything about it. you did not write a phrase about it not to talk about a paragraph, but you can write a novel about Mr president words during campaign. this is not a rocket science it is just a common sense.
where you are (sir ) is just a privilege, there are million of Nigerians who can reason beyond your limit.
Let forget about party, region, religion, ethic and background, Nigeria is our home.let just make Nigeria a better place for all of us
So sir use your pen and paper to give we Nigerians hope and not to demoralize us

Am not on anybody side, if the present administration does not give us what they promise us between their time frame we will say say it tomorrow .

Kenyan policeman gets stuck in married woman during illicit sex

A police officer in Kenya has been caught in a deadly web of sex scandal after he was caught stuck on a married woman laced with 'Magun'.

A Kenyan police officer was given the embarrassment of his life when he was caught red handed stuck between the legs of his secret lover who is a married woman.

According to an eyewitnesses who made the video which has gone on to become an Internet sensation, the woman's husband had long suspected that his wife had a string of secret sexual affairs with other men and decided to place a deadly and potent charm called Kikamba, (Magun in Nigeria), on her so that any man that sleeps with her would be stuck, thereby exposing her infidelity.
it did not take long before the police officer was caught in the Kikamba magic while having sex with the woman in a hotel in Katui County, 160 kilometers east of Nairobi, the Kenyan capital.

SHAKHTAR DONETSK SEEKS OUT AGHAHOWA

Despite his short stint in the Senior national team, nobody can deny Julius Aghahowa was a natural. He delivered whenever he was called upon even when it was from the bench. An impact sub in Nigeria but a super regular for the one team that he served.

In the Europa League Round of 32, Shakhtar will play against Schalke. 10 years ago, the teams faced each other at the same stage of the UEFA Cup. In the return game in Gelsenkirchen, the only and winning goal was scored by Shakhtar striker Julius Aghahowa. We got in touch with the hero of that encounter.

– Julius, do you remember your goal in Gelsenkirchen?
– Of course I do! It was an interesting game. We worked hard and were well prepared for the match. We really wanted to claim a positive result, and we succeeded.

In that episode, did you intentionally shoot it between the legs of the goalkeeper?
– Yes. I got a pass from the left flank and started entering the penalty area. After beating a defender, I had just the goalkeeper in front of me. I immediately decided how I would strike it, and did the right thing since the ball flew into the back of the net! After that game we were all very happy, because we made it further in the UEFA Cup. I had many important goals, with this one surely being one of them.

– Before the return game, did you have confidence to beat Schalke?
– That’s football: you cannot be one hundred percent sure about your success. But what we were surely confident about was our ability! We knew that we were well prepared. So we approached the match with optimism and won it.

– Is it hard to play away in Germany, especially in Gelsenkirchen?
– Of course it is. The stands are located very close to the field. It’s a challenge for the team who play away. The pressure of the fans is very serious! Therefore, Shakhtar should be ready for the fact that the stadium will be filled to capacity. And show good football.

– What do you make of the current Shakhtar’s chance of making it past Schalke?
– I have confidence in the guys. Shakhtar must make it to the next round. If I have some free time, I will go to Gelsenkirchen to support the team in the stadium. I would be very happy to do that. And, taking advantage of this opportunity, I want to wish the players, coaches, fans of Shakhtar and the club staff a happy new year. I wish them in 2016 peace, prosperity and all the best! May everyone be happy!

Album- Eyan Mayweather

Artiste- Olamide

Producer- B. Banks, Pheelz, Young John, and I.D Cabasa

Record Label- YBNL (2015)

Duration- 1 hour, 18 minutes

For four years Olamide has been on an unprecedented run.

It all started in 2011 with his raw and unpolished debut album 'RapSoDi'. The following year the kid from the slums of Bariga snatched rap music from the established Hip Hop kings with his dazzling street oriented sophomore 'YBNL' in 2012.

In 2013, he slaughtered pretenders to his throne with his third album 'Baddest Guy Ever Liveth'. In his tradition of dropping an album every year, Olamide released 'Street OT' in 2014 where he flaunted the strength of his YBNL Empire.

In April 2015 he solidified his alliance with the King of the EastPhyno with the history making collaborative LP 2 Kings. The album was no Watch The Throne, and even though a few cracks appeared it was enough to allow Olamide have the rap game in the chokehold.

Through sweat, hard work, tenacity and ambition, Olamide has been at the summit of the Nigerian rap game since 2012. Largely responsible for the explosion of indigenous rap, Olamide’s street raps delivered in Yoruba has made him unrivalled.

Hence that’s why his latest and fifth solo album 'Eyan Mayweather' is inspired by the undefeated achievements of boxing champion, the flashy and cocky Floyd Mayweather.

This album however is not a victory for Olamide. In his latest effort, the rapper comes up against his greatest foe yet, himself, and gets defeated.

Olamide turns 25 (YBNL)

In his usual manner this new LP is lengthy, 21 tracks spanning 1 hour, 18 minutes. While Olamide has been able to get away with the excessively high amount of songs on his past albums, he can’t wiggle out this time.

Surprisingly after so many albums, Olamide has refused to grow past his primary subject matter of hustle, hustle, and more hustle. On this album he is a king whose state of mind has refused to grow to accommodate his vast empire.

With a repetitive theme that is boring and nauseous, Olamide loses the interest of the listener very quick.

The album opens up with ‘Eyan Mayweather’ which sees Olamide banging his chest about his recent historic accomplishment- sold out shows in Lagos, London, America and Malaysia. Let’s take a minute to applaud him world conquering efforts.

He quickly follows up the Pheelz produced track with ‘Inferiority Complex’ (another Pheelz joint) which is a groovy Afrobeat based song. On the chorus he advises people with problems to leave everything to God- an obvious subject matter but Olamide’s Afrobeat crooning makes it enjoyable.

Olamide is widely known as Baddo (YBNL)

Eyan Mayweather sadly loses the plot from here on, as early as the third track titled ‘Don’t Stop’. The song suffers from childish production and the usual ‘ass’ talk, a subject matter that Olamide can no longer possibly offer anything new on.

The misfiring tracks come quick and fast after this. The B. Banks produced song ‘Where The Man’ has Olamide flirting a little bit with dancehall. With a limp chorus and a punch line like “Charlie make dem lock up/I no dey show Messi no be world cup” the song is skippable.

‘Igara’, ‘Boom Boom Boom’ and ‘Ball’ don’t do this album any favours. The chorus of the latter song is a copy of T.I’s hit ‘Ball’. On the song ‘Boom Boom Boom’ Olamide sings out these corny lines- “I’m the future no Ciara/I hit the nail on the head-MC Hammer.”

On ‘Be Happy’ which samples ‘Pon De Floor’ by Major Lazer, Olamide aimlessly raps on a beat. While he has the courage for trying a new sound, the end result shouldn't have made the album.

YBNL CEO, Olamide and his mum (Olamide Adedeji)

For a rapper who reps the hood and has goons, Olamide flirts a lot with too much of contemporary Highlife singing on this project. He has always done this on his other albums, but this time around he doesn’t have the hits or bangers to justify his foray into the land of non-rap commercial success.

Yes the singles ‘Bobo’ and ‘Melo Melo’ are hits, but the remaining non-rap tracks weigh down the album considerably.

On ‘Say Something’ he sings in Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa to try and catch that national appeal but his crowd pleasing effort doesn’t score him a hit. 'Matters Arising', 'Mama Mi', and 'Toriomo' are examples of Olamide’s crooning got bad.

Besides the theme flaw, another drawback on 'Eyan Mayweather' is that there are no guest appearances. On his past albums, Olamide still had enough fuel in him to power his albums. Last year he featured his YBNL princes on Street OT which energized him into delivering his trademark bars.

Olamide is not emotionally layered enough to carry a whole album by himself. His solo effort is not thought provoking or introspective enough to hold you spellbound. Even when he tries to go personal and reminisce about his mother on ‘Mama Mi’ it doesn’t strike a chord. La familia materials like this have been covered in more vivid and moving details on past songs such as ‘Anifowose’ on #BGEL, and ‘1999’ on Street OT.

The production on this LP also falls short. Olamide’s longtime producer Pheelz who handles majority of the production has exhausted himself creatively. It is clear that both rapper and producer need some time out.

The two last tracks ‘Jega’, and ‘OG Waheedee’, are cuts that show Olamide at his best, but songs like these are very few on the album.

It’s been a great run for Olamide, five solo albums in five years is the stuff of legends. A classic album is also a feature of rap legends. With 'Eyan Mayweather' Olamide has not scored one, and unless he re-invents himself his stellar career might be short of a classic.

Nigeria’s rap Mayweather has been knocked out in Round 5. Can he get up and defeat his biggest foe, himself? Well, we have to watch, and see but I won’t bet against him.

The legend of Olamide continues…

David Mark flood Benue with customised rice, salt, tomatoes for election

The era of politicians using free food items to woo voters has come back as former Senate President, David Mark, is now distributing his own brand of customised rice, salt and tomatoes to the people of Benue State as he prepares for a rerun of the election that saw him to the Upper Chamber which was nullified by the Court of Appeal, Makurdi, last week.

The four term Senator, according to his campaign team, ordered that the items be distributed free for the people of his Otukpo Constituency as a way of wooing them to vote for him again.

Close observers have noticed, however, that the stickers on the branded items were the same as those made for his campaign during the last election which were apparently diverted by some of his key supporters who were in charge of distribution.

It was also gathered that while some people rejected the food items, others still scrambled for them, an indication that the now heralded stomach infrastructure is playing a key role in elections in the country.

Karim Benzema tell his own side of the story

Real Madrid and France striker Karim Benzema has spoken out for the first time to the media since the sex tape saga involving him and France teammate Mathieu Valbuena surfaced publicly. Benzema was arrested and interrogated by French police and is accused of plotting and conspiring with childhood friend Karim Zenati to blackmail Lyon midfielder Mathieu Valbuena over a sextape the midfielder was involved in.

Benzema's involvement in the plot has not yet been fully determined but investigators believe he was approached by a childhood friend, Karim Zenati, to act as an intermediary and convince Valbuena to deal directly with the blackmailers.

Last week Valbuena said he was disappointed in Benzema but now speaking to TF1, Benzema said;
''I’d heard there was a video out there. I said I’d let him know. But I got the impression he already knew about it. I told him I could help him because I have a friend in Lyon [Benzema’s childhood friend Karim Zenati] that could deal with the problem.

“We spoke about it. I asked him if he had warned his family. I told him I’d found myself in situations like this in the past and that I’d told the police. He [Valbuena] told me he had told the police about it.
Then afterwards, when I hear all this talk about extortion, and that I’d demanded money from him – it makes me angry. The idea that I would need money, or my friend would need money – it’s ridiculous. I’ve earned a good living for a long time. I don’t need money. We never, never spoke about money.”
Asked if he understood why Valbuena has said he is “very disappointed” in him he replied: “I understand. But that night, he wasn’t disappointed. On the contrary. He said to me – and he could tell you this himself – ‘thanks, brother, for having warned me.’”

Benzema also hit back at French prime minister Manuel Valls' comments for saying he had no place on the French national team..
“I’m getting accused of all sorts of things. They’re dragging my name through the mud as if I was a criminal. It’s horrible.”

He added: “The only thing I regret in this whole thing is to have laughed about it on the phone with my childhood friend [Zenati]. That’s the only thing. I apologise to him [Valbuena] and his family for that. On the phone you act silly; sometimes you laugh about things that may be serious, but you don’t take them seriously.”
'Hopefully it will end well, we will all be OK ... and we will all return to the France team to win that Euro,'
'I'm not playing for the cameras, I'm not playing a game,' insisted Benzema .
'I'm here to be sincere.'

Le Monde published statements given by Benzema to the judge investigating the case after he spent a night in custody at Versailles police station in November. Benzema denied his implication in the saga and told the judge he was a victim of 'a big misunderstanding,' saying he was rich so he doesn't understand why he will blackmail.

'I am really disappointed with the magnitude of this story, because blackmail and stuff like that, frankly it's very serious,' Benzema was quoted as saying.

'I've been successful in my life and (Zenati) is being looked after, because he is my boyhood friend,' Benzema said. 'That's why I don't understand this story about blackmail and money.'

The court has placed Benzema under judicial supervision, meaning he cannot meet with Valbuena during the investigation. If the case continues to drag on until the Euros start on June 10, France coach Didier Deschamps won't be able to call both players in his squad for the continental tournament.

EFCC raid Raymond Dokpesi's home in Abuja

EFCC officials yesterday raided the Abuja home of Chairman of Daar Communications, Raymond Dokpesi who is being interrogated for his alleged connection in the $2.1 billion arms deal scandal. The search lasted over an hour. Speaking to newsmen after the search, Dokpesi said
"Its a change of Environment. Its quite peaceful, quite okay. I was granted bail yesterday (Tuesday December 1st) where they asked me to get two directors of the Federal government arm to also deposit my passport but my lawyer was not available and I said that I was not going to sign but then I think what they said was the allegation was alleged conspiracy, money laundering and misappropriation of public funds. But I am a loyal Nigerian citizen, a patriotic Nigerian citizen. I have no problem like I said. I am strong in spirit. I am toughened".
